Cellulose Insulation

Cellulose is, in effect, shredded newspaper with a few additives mixed in to make it fire resistant. It has approximately the same R-value as fiberglass insulation but it's a better air blocker to reduce drafts. Blown-in cellulose is more effective than fiberglass around wall and ceiling studs because it completely fills and covers them to reduce air penetration from the outside. Blown-in cellulose also does a better job at filling around obstructions and odd shapes like electrical boxes and pipes. As is the case with fiberglass, a vapor barrier is required with cellulose to ensure it remains dry and continues to do its job. Wet cellulose and wet fiberglass lose up to 75% of their insulating capabilities.

Warmth Insulation offers blown-in cellulose as a cost-effective alternative to spray foam. Our team of professional installers is highly skilled at deploying the product and maximizing its effectiveness.
